In response to The Daily Post’s writing prompt: “Silver Screen.”
“We stop checking for monsters under our beds when we realize they are inside of us,” the Joker. This quote always hits me hard because people see monsters as scary mean things. Then you look in real life and people are scary and mean. They are the exact image of a monster minus the ugly face. People need to realize that the horrible things they were scared of as kids are what they become when they grow up. We spent our whole childhood hiding from scary things only to become the scary thing in the future to someone else. So then think of this. When we become what we were scared of, why not change? Why not stop being the monster that you were scared of because now you are the monster others are scared of?
