My Fav Author

In response to The Daily Post’s writing prompt: “Ghostwriter.”

I would definitely use Lurlene McDaniel. She writes about tragedies a lot. She doesn’t sugar coat life. I would want her to write mine because she makes people cry and hits them deep. I want people to get emotional when they read my obituary. She would the perfect choice and I would be honored if she wrote mine.

Spies

In response to The Daily Post’s writing prompt: “Fly on the Wall.”

If I could be a fly on the wall, I would be it when the people planned 9/11. I would listen to when and how they were going to try to destroy the United States. It would be very interesting to sit there and see how excited they were thinking they could take us down. In reality though, they are going to be taken down. I would go back and tell the United States what their plans were. They would then be ready to stop the terrorist attack. Just think how different the U.S. would be if we didn’t have 9/11. Maybe one of those people who died could have found the sure for cancer or would have been president instead of Obama. They possibilities are endless. It could all change with stopping one event.

Remsen, Iowa

In response to The Daily Post’s writing prompt: “We Built This City.”

In Remsen, Iowa, it is a cute small town that everybody knows everybody. In a way that is bad, but it is also good. We have amazing fundraisers for our schools and anyone suffering in the town. One of our biggest ones is Pink Angels which is a cancer benefit. Just recently we had one for a local community member because she has breast cancer. Another good one that is for St. Mary’s School and Parish is the church auction and Friends of the St. Mary’s Ball. All of these fundraisers work out amazingly because we have a very supportive community.

Despite being a small town, we have two schools. On occasions we have our disputes, but other than that we get along. It is nice to have this because a little town rivalry is always fun at games. This also helps us because we can have Pink Out Nights at games, and it is easy to contact the school and we know they will participate.

If I were mayor, I would clean up the town more and change some of the towns people’s schedules. The snow plows would do a better job, and they wouldn’t leave the snow in the middle of the road. The town would get cleaned up, and things would get painted over.

All in all, it is a nice town that people enjoy living in it. I would recommend for anyone to come here.

Knock Knocks

In response to The Daily Post’s writing prompt: “Ha Ha Ha.”

So, everybody knows those lame knock knock jokes from when you’re younger. The things like Boo who, don’t cry please. Or the orange you glad I didn’t say banana. I always thought that those were the funniest jokes in the world. This ended when I decided to tell my little cousin the banana joke. She was only 4 when I told her this and so she didn’t quite understand it. So as she would tell every one the joke she would say other fruit like strawberries and watermelon. She would also repeat this joke numerous times and die from laughter after every time. Let’s just say her mom and dad weren’t too happy with me.

When I was younger, I also loved blonde jokes. It helped that I wasn’t a blonde so I thought they were really great. It made me feel smarter because I was too little to get it was just a joke. It did help my self-esteem though.

How do you Choose Just One

In response to The Daily Post’s writing prompt: “32 Flavors.”

I am horrible at choosing just one flavor of anything. When I go to the Ice Cream Parlor, I always order what I call Jenny’s specialty. It consist of birthday party and cotton candy ice cream topped off with marshmallow and gummy bears. As you can tell this is a very sweet combination so you have to be in that perfect mood. When I’m not in that mood, I order cookies-and-cream and mint chocolate chip ice cream. I don’t put anything on top of this because it has mint. I love a good mint flavor added to things so I don’t ruin it by adding anything on top. Honestly, these are my two combinations I always do so as you can tell I never just choose one.

Racist Chant of Frat Boy

In response to The Daily Post’s writing prompt: “A House Divided.”

Keep in mind that I am not racist but I am expressing my beliefs.

In defense of the fraternity boys.

In their defense they should be able to have a fraternity that is just white men. If there are black people that would want an all black fraternity then they would get it. In the white guys defense, they were drunk and they were expressing their feelings. It is true that when people are drunk they tend to tell the truth and how they really feel. Why is it fair that when black people want something to themselves it’s not racist, but when a white person does it is. If you think about it, there are things out there like scholarships that you can not find for a white male only. So in defense of the males on the bus, they were just expressing their feelings.

Against the fraternity boys

The boys on bus were completely rude. Like suck it up and let people in. The color of the person shouldn’t matter because on the inside everyone is the same in a sense. We have the same organs that do the same functions. It is they’re fault for expressing their beliefs while drunk because that is not the right way to do it. What they said they shouldn’t have because you can’t just go hang someone and have it be all right. They deserved to be kicked out of that college.

My own thoughts on it

What these boys did was wrong, so wrong on so many levels, but they do not deserved to be hated nation wide by it. They didn’t need to shout the things that they did or threaten, but they were drunk. I understand where they are coming from though because you look at things in the world it isn’t fair. Like the riot in Ferguson, they destroys a town, but it’s okay because you’re black and you were expressing your feelings. Then there’s the scholarships that a black person would get it over a white person because or their color. If you want people to stop judging you by your color then stop taking advantage of it. Either have it one way or another.

Wouldn’t you agree?

Australia

In response to The Daily Post’s writing prompt: “Study Abroad.”

If I could study abroad, I would definitely choose Australia. It is such a cool place and it has Kangaroos. It would be a very nice place, and I could finally learn how to surf. In order to live there though I feel as if I am going to need a lot of money so hopefully I get money with this deal.

Another reason I would want to study there is because them Hemsworth brothers are from there and my favorite one lives there. Chris Hemsworth would be so cool to live by, and if you don’t know who this is he is Thor from the movie Thor and The Avengers.

Australia is just a beautiful place, and it is a place you don’t hear much about. Everyone always goes to Europe or Asia to study abroad. I want to go someplace fun.
